St. Mark's parsonage close to sold
Couple needs zoning approval first
The former St. Mark's Episcopal Church is still on the market, but it looks like the parsonage next door on School Street will soon be sold. Patricia Warwick and John Carlotto are scheduled to appear before the Warren Zoning Board next week to ask for permission to change the permitted use in the old church building to residential. Realtor Leslie Hogan said the prospective buyers have not yet closed on the property; town approval to change the zoning would be required, she said. The church and parsonage have been for sale for about six months. The church itself closed two years ago in the face of declining membership and a dwindling endowment.
