Monday, Dec. 19
An employee at Kickemuit Middle School reported a sexual incident between a male and female student.
A resident was spotted poking through trash on Main Street. Police were called by a neighbor, but couldn’t locate the person.
Telephone harassment was reported on Child Street.
A Church Street resident reported a stolen ring.
A car struck a fence on Campbell Street at 10:36 p.m., but nobody was injured.
Tuesday, Dec. 20
A woman came into police headquarters at 12:34 a.m. and told a dispatcher that she’d missed her bus. She returned about 40 minutes later with the same story.
The animal control officer spotted a man walking his dog on Market Street at 7:37. When the dog went to the bathroom, she said, the man walked away without cleaning it up. The man was promptly given a bag and told to clean up the waste.
The dog officer confronted a man who was apparently attempting to take items from the animal shelter. He returned them.
A laptop computer was found on Fairview Avenue and turned over to its owner.
Police responded to Kickemuit Road for an assault.
Wednesday, Dec. 21
Kristopher Langlais, 24, of Coventry, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, BAC .15 or greater, after police pulled him over on Metacom Avenue at 1:29 a.m. The arresting officer noted that Mr. Langlais’s car had fresh front end damage.
Loose chickens were spotted on Libby Lane.
A car was reported speeding on Main Street at 12:36 p.m.
Gutters, piping and other materials were reported stolen from a vacant house on Connolly Avenue.
A Market Street business owner reported receiving a counterfeit bill.
An aggressive driver was spotted behind the wheel of a van on Market Street. A caller reported that the man was flashing his headlights so other cars would get out of his way.
Loud music was reported on Company Street.
Thursday, Dec. 22
Michael E. Mulligan, 28, of Barrington, was charged with possession of marijuana, first offense, after police pulled him over at Main and Thompson streets at 1 a.m.
A Libby Lane resident complained of loud music coming from the upstairs neighbor’s apartment.
Construction staging was reported stolen from a Baker Street home.
Cesar J. Berges, 36, of Pawtucket, was cited for driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license. Police pulled him over on Water Street.
An unwanted man was dispersed from a Coomer Avenue home.
A barking dog complaint came in from Mason Street at 3:21 p.m.
Police received a call about a man, walking on Asselin Street, who was yelling and screaming. An officer investigated and learned the man was upset about an incident that occurred earlier in the day.
Fireworks were reported on Redmond Street.
Anthony J. Giampietro, 22, of 89 Market St., second floor, was picked up on a warrant from Sixth Division District Court.
Police responded to a civil suit on Arlington Avenue.
Friday, Dec. 23
A credit card was reported stolen on Cutler Street.
Belynda A. Sousa, 38, of Bristol, was picked up on a warrant for two counts of misdemeanor receiving stolen goods.
A loose dog was reported on Parker Avenue.
A caller told police about an opossum stuck in a trash can on Water Street.
Phone harassment was reported on Child Street.
Richard Angelo Palumbo, 25, of 820 Main St., Apt. 5, was charged with domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct, after a woman showed up at her job on Metacom Avenue with lacerations from an earlier assault.
Corde Babbitt, 27, of East Providence, was cited for driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of license, after a minor car/pedestrian accident on Market Street.
A woman was injured in a head-on collision at the intersection of Long Lane and Child Street that was called in at 8:47 p.m. The driver of one of the cars, a silver Toyota Celica with front end damage, fled the scene. Police alerted Swansea officials, who found the car a short time later in that town. The driver of that car, a woman, was taken to Charlton Memorial Hospital’s emergency room; however, there was no word on what charges, if any, were filed.
Saturday, Dec. 24
Loud music was reported on Davis Street at 12:12 a.m.
A ‘suspicious’ car spotted pulled over on Market Street at 1:45 a.m. was just entering an address into a GPS unit.
A Child Street woman told police at 4:33 a.m. that there was someone in her shed, but a search turned up nothing.
A boy told police that he’d been threatened by three others on Homestead Avenue.
Sunday, Dec. 25
A caller from Cutler Street reported at 2:14 a.m. that someone might have been outside his house. No report from police on whether or not the man had a white beard and wore a red velvet suit.
A caller told police at 12:41 a.m. that someone tried to break into her home.
A woman told police that a former roommate was texting and harassing her.
