Tuesday, Jan. 24
An Orchard Avenue man reported fraud.
Police were directed to check on the well-being of children who live at a Child Street address.
Loud banging was reported on Pleasant View Avenue.
A caller from Main and Wood streets reported a suspicious man wearing a tan and black jacket in the neighborhood.
Wednesday, Jan. 25
A caller told police that her ex-boyfriend, against whom she has a no contact order, was sending her text messages.
A woman called from Child Street to report that her ex-boyfriend was trying to retrieve items from her house, and she didn’t want him there.
Kids were spotted doing bike tricks on a stone wall on Main Street.
Ricky Champlin, 53, of East Providence, was cited for driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, after police pulled him over on Child Street at 9:11 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 26
Fire crews were called out to Federal Street for a possible electrical fire.
A Kelly Street woman told police that her mother had been assaulted.
A resident reported that the driver of a town DPW truck made an illegal left turn at the intersection of Child Street and Metacom Avenue. Police passed the message on to the DPW.
A Denver Avenue resident reported identity fraud.
The principal of the Kickemuit Middle School reported that a parent acted disorderly toward students at the school.
An attempted breaking and entering was reported on Federal Street.
A Child Street woman reported being harassed.
A resident reported receiving harassing text messages.
Police responded to Homestead Avenue for a disturbance highlighted by a brother refusing to give a phone back to his sibling.
Ryan M. Bernier, 22, of Bristol, was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct, after a person came into police headquarters to report a past incident.
A caller told police that the driver of a car on Market Street was using narcotics. Police checked it out but found nothing.
Daniel M. Allen, 29, of 192 Market St., was cited for driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, after police pulled him over on Redmond Street at 5:49 p.m.
A caller from Ridgeway Drive reported that his daughter’s friends stole his medication. An officer spoke to the man, who ultimately decided not to purse the matter. Police reported that the officer who spoke to the man suspected that he gave the story in an effort to fraudulently obtain a new prescription.
A suspicious truck was spotted at the end of Norbert Street at 8:51 p.m., but police found nothing amiss when they checked it out. Instead, the occupants were “geo-caching,” or looking for small items left in places marked on the Internet only by GPS.
Police responded to Kinnicutt Avenue for a landlord/tenant dispute.
Friday, Jan. 27
Police spotted a “suspicious” person walking around an Arlington Avenue home. It wasn’t suspicious, though; the man lives there, they discovered.
Jeff C. Leite, 25, of Bristol, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first offense (BAC unknown), and refusing to submit to a chemical test, after he drove his car off Serpentine Road at 2:03 a.m.
A man reported begin assaulted just before 9:30 a.m.
Loud music was reported on Market Street.
A Seymour Street man reported receiving harassing phone calls.
Loud noise was reported on Main Street.
A Connolly Avenue resident called police about a rabbit that had gotten loose. No report on whether anyone used a holy hand grenade to subdue it (with apologies to Monty Python).
George A. Collazo, 34, was picked up on a bench warrant issued by Sixth Division District Court.
Police responded to a civil dispute on Seymour Street.
A Company Street woman concerned with her husband’s safety reported at 9:31 p.m. that, drunk, he had left their home and driven in his car toward Barrington.
Saturday, Jan. 28
A Company Street man reported being harassed.
Two men were charged with disorderly conduct after police responded to a fight called in at 4:29 p.m. at a Market Street home. Charged were Steven Santurri, 35, of Providence, and Richard Manuel Nunes, 33, of 55 Croade Ave., third floor.
Fire crews extinguished a brush fire called in from Reservoir Avenue at 5:42 p.m.
A Child Street woman called police to report her neighbors acting loudly.
A Wood Street woman reported a dispute with a neighbor.
A Federal Street woman called 911 to report that her boyfriend was drunk.
Sunday, Jan. 29
Loud noise was reported on Market Street at 1:14 a.m.
A woman called police at 3:43 a.m. to report that a man approached her as she was walking into her home. Police spoke to the man, who told them he was only trying to buy a cigarette from her. He was advised not to approach anyone else.
A truck drove over a lawn on Cutler Street, damaging it.
An Arlington Avenue woman told police that her daughter had reported that her ex-boyfriend, with whom she had just broken up, had threatened to damage her belongings.
A man was spotted panhandling on Main and Market streets at 2:19 p.m.
A car was vandalized on Metacom Avenue.
An Arlington Avenue woman told police that she suspected her ex-boyfriend was stalking her.
