Tiverton hit and run victim dies

Former resident of Warren and Bristol

TIVERTON - A 70-year-old Tiverton man who was struck while walking near the corner of Main Road and Hilton Street on Wednesday, Nov. 23 has died from his injuries.

Tiverton Police say John W. Kieron passed away after being recently removed from life support.

He had been found lying in the roadway after being hit by a vehicle that did not stop, possible a light colored four-door sedan. That car may have sustained damaged to its passenger-side door and mirror.

Born and raised in Warren, he graduated from Warren High School and Roger Williams University. He lived in Bristol and worked at Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics in Bristol before moving to Tiverton.

A private burial will be in Warren at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in March. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Providence Animal Rescue League, 34 Elbow St., Providence, RI 02903.  For online condolences, shared memories and information go to www.almeida-pocasset.com
