Warren police logs: From the week of Jan. 25, 2012

Monday, Jan. 16

A woman called police from Davis Street at 1:02 a.m. to report that her boyfriend, wearing no shoes or shirt, had just left the house.

An office on Water Street was reportedly broken into, but the owner told police he didn’t see anything missing.

Fire crews went to a Main Street home at 4:30 p.m. for a fire; it turned out to be a cooking mishap.

A woman told police a friend took her photos and put them online, then refused to delete them despite being asked multiple times.

A man was spotted looking into the window of a Buffalo Avenue home.

Tuesday, Jan. 17

A Main Street woman told police that someone outside was banging on her wall at 2:20 a.m.

Police were called to a Metacom Avenue business at 6:31 a.m. for an unruly employee. Police noted that the employee was fired.

Edmund C. LaRue, 56, of 53 Seymour St., was picked up on a bench warrant issued from Sixth Division District Court in Providence.

Matthew M. Medeiros, 45, of Exeter, was cited fro driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, after police pulled him over on Metacom Avenue at 11:29 a.m.

A dog reportedly bit a cat on Patterson Avenue.

Ryan A. Dupuis, 22, of Bristol, was pulled over on Market Street and arrested on an outstanding Bristol warrant for breaking and entering. Mr. Dupuis was handed over to Bristol authorities.

A Washington Street resident reported damage to a boat.

Wednesday, Jan. 18

A car was reported vandalized on Sisson Street.

Police responded to Child Street for a past domestic disturbance.

Thursday, Jan. 19

A barking dog on Patience Lane drew a complaint.

Christopher M. Ray, 18, of 43 Franklin St., was cited for driving without or on an expired license, after police pulled him over on Water Street at 10:32 a.m.

Identity fraud was reported on Summit Drive.

A person was spotted looking through car windows on Child Street at 8:15 p.m.

A Metacom Avenue business reported a shoplifter. However, police did not make an arrest.

Michael A. Vaccaro Sr., 45, of 15 Cutler St., Apt. 7, was charged with possession of marijuana, first offense, after police were called to Cutler Street at 9:25 p.m. for a report of loud music.

Two suspicious men were spotted looking into windows on Metacom Avenue.

Friday, Jan. 20

Jason Fortin, 35, of 162 Market St., first floor, was arrested on a bench warrant issued from Sixth Division District Court in Providence.

Scott Lee Brackett, 33, of 8 Federal St, first floor, was picked up on a Warren warrant for simple assault or battery and vandalism/malicious injury to property.

Shouting and yelling was reported on Kickemuit Road.

Scott F. Jarvela, 41, of Providence, was charged with violating a no contact order and resisting arrest, after police got a call from Main Street at 7:50 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 21

A caller from Kinnicutt Avenue reported that her landlord blocked her car into the driveway.

A Warren Avenue woman told police that a neighbor was harassing her.

DPW employees reported numerous cars parked on the road during the snow storm; they were blocking plow drivers from completely clearing the streets, they told police.

Snowmobilers were spotted on Mason Street.

A Kinnicutt Avenue woman called police again to report being harassed by her landlord.

Sunday, Jan. 22

Two Water Street neighbors got into an argument over snow removal, and one of them called police. Nobody was arrested.

A Child Street man called police after having a disagreement with his wife.

A caller reported that the driver of a car on Almeida Drive, who might have been drunk, was yelling. Police checked it out and reported no problem; the driver wasn’t drunk, he was just celebrating. There’s no explanation of what the celebration was about, but the New England Patriots had just won the AFC championship game, earning the team a trip to the Superbowl in two weeks.

A Davis Street woman called police at 7:44 p.m., saying her boyfriend had just slapped her.
