John Joseph Blank Jr., 63, of Warren, R.I., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, in Pearland, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Diann Blank.
A son of the late John and Yvonne Blank Sr., he was very proud of his new England roots, growing up in Warren loving the Red Sox and Patriots. He was a skilled craftsman, artist, home builder and contractor. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling, cooking and doing things for others. He truly had a servant’s heart. John was a man of strong faith and loved helping his church and those in need. He was a dedicated father and devoted husband, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Besides his wife, he leaves his sons, John Blank and wife Susan, Michael, Christopher and Timothy Blank; his stepdaughter, Stacy Neighbors and her husband, Brooks; his brothers, Roger Blank and wife Terri, Norman Blank and wife Pat; his sister, Mary Alice Conklin; his grandchildren, Jordan, Erika and Makenley Neighbors, Savannah and Sydney Blank; his niece Angela and her daughters, Alina and Kennedy; his beloved dog Ditto, and a host of other family and friends. He was a brother of the late Stephen, Janet and Pamela Blank.
A memorial viewing will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, in the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.wilbur-romano.com.
